Employability skills:
Employability skills include soft skills that improve your confidence in a society that has ‘tech’ entrenched in our personal and working lives. For example, we help you to become more ‘tech savvy’ so that you can help others with those day to day IT issues that can cause problems when you’re searching for employment – accessing the right opportunities, understanding applications from job specs/ responsibilities to formatting etc.
Working well with others, forming new working relationships, helping you to understand each other’s employment needs is key to our employability ethic and our past success. Service users are helped with, for example, creating CV, interview tips, Entry level 1 to level 2 (English, maths and IT), career guidance as well as the guidance of a personal tutor from ‘start of training to employment’.
Career Guidance:
Integral to each programme of training is Career Guidance. We recognise the fact that all our clients needs differ and therefore we tailor our programme /courses to include career guidance which in respect can change as you meet different challenges in your training. This helps us all to focus our attention on your goal of gaining employment in the job area that you are most likely to be enthused by and have the potential to succeed.
Digital Inclusion
We ensure that our service users as well as community members with limited or no access to digital technologies, especially connectivity benefit from our help and provision (plans to open IT lab by Sept 2022)
Well being and pastoral services.
This is an inclusive service that we provide mainly for our service users however as a community enterprise we do reach out further into Moss Side and Hulme to support any community member regardless of their background, listen to their needs and guide them to the services that are relevant to their well being and general needs. Our pastoral support is second to none and is an integral part of the training service we provide. We revere in maintaining the pastoral bond between the enterprise and community members, particularly those who find themselves disassociated with their communities
Access to higher education
We pride ourselves in the alumni of service users from our community who our enterprise have supported and encouraged to access higher education. Our teams have expertise in the processes involved in securing a place at university. This integral service has been successfully implemented with a compliment of ex service users returning to work within the community following their degree award achievement.
